Become a Friend of The Washington Center by making your donation online. Locally The Washington Center serves as a primary link in the encouragement and development of the cultural horizon for the entire South Puget Sound. You help make it possible for us operate a well-equipped and well-maintained performing arts facility for our local arts organizations so they can bring to the professional stage a wealth of local talent. The Washington Center Gallery has given launch and exposure to almost 100 local artists, from the up-and-coming artists to a retrospective of an established artist, and has expanded what the Center means to the local arts community. Globally Your support of The Washington Center as an organization gives us the artistic freedom to present a broad selection of international and national professional arts performances in theater, music and dance, giving our region a high-quality local venue in which to see world class performances. Additionally, your gift is the acknowledgment of the importance of arts education for all ages. The Center provides rental rate subsidies to non-profits whose primary purpose is to present performing arts to school age audiences or provide opportunities for public school age students to perform. We conduct public master classes and workshops, bringing local students of the arts together with touring professionals to learn and grow and give back to the community. Your generosity provides us with the opportunity to guarantee the arts remain affordable to a new generation with ticket subsidies, including half-price youth tickets and 50% off student rush tickets to Washington Center presented events.
